New York City is a very special place to me. When I attended my first ever adoptee-centred conference, the 2019 IKAA Gathering, the most new friends I made were from the NYC area. 5 years later I was able to visit some of them in person while attending the inaugural Adoptee Leadership Exchange hosted by Also Known As and IKAA in NYC.
